Objective:
 Feed Sales Specialist - Wisconsin (Calf & Heifer) This position represents an excellent chance to work in partnership with member cooperatives and independent dealers in a geography consisting of eastern and southern Wisconsin. The successful individual will be directly working with Dairy producers and assisting them in achieving improved production/profitability in their operations using Purina Feed Programs. This role will focus on increasing market share through the use and sale of proprietary technologies and products along with their knowledge of animal nutrition. You will also partner with a experienced Sales Specialist located in Western Wisconsin providing mentorship to this role. Core Responsibilities: - Emphasis on teaching / training sales team and customers in the area of animal health. - Deliver a Volume Sales Increase (tons/points) yearly to meet goal - Develop/maintain a list of Top 20 Calf/Heifer Prospects. The growers on this priority prospect list should be the largest & most influential in assigned geographical area. Role is to lead/manage the “sales process” for each priority prospect. - Organize/conduct/manage Feeding Demos & Trials, create proof to use in selling other growers & training new FPC recruits. - Partner with select Farm Production Consultants (Elite Force & New Recruits) salespeople and top coops/dealers….. - Feeding demos/trials - Target sell key prospects - On-farm trouble-shooting & problem solving - Producer meetings - Tech support - Implement sales & marketing programs - Sell/host key prospects/customers on attending C&H Research Center VIPs. - Build relationships/partnerships with Key Veterinarians. - Actively involved in Industry Events/Activities – DCHA, PDPW, etc. Additional responsibilities include: - Conduct targeted prospect calls to develop new and existing business growth; actively call on customers in the field - Analyze sales results of each assigned dealer/coop to determine and track growth, inspect areas that are underperforming & develop appropriate responses, further accelerate growing segments of the business - Support event selling, customer meetings, cattle selling events etc... and execution of promotions at the dealer/co-op level partnering with the dealer and their staff - Actively work with aligned cooperatives and dealers in supporting the development and execution of sales growth strategies and tactics that incorporate Purina feed programs and technologies - Work closely with coop and dealer management/ownership, develop a strong and trusting relationship focused on their needs and the needs of their customers by positioning the programs, tools, technologies, and services of Purina. Develop training programs as needed to meet individual & group needs - Working with local cooperative and dealer management/ownership, develop an annual business growth plan along with supporting the development of strategic plans - Provide tracking reports (CRM) on marketing and service activities as management requires and maintain up to date and accurate client history records.  
Training Required:
 Bachelor's degree in Animal Nutrition or business related field or equivalent experience. DVM / PhD / Masters desired  
Experience Desired:
 - Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience with an animal science/nutrition emphasis, and a proven track record of growing and maintaining a customer base. - Candidate should have a good understanding of animal husbandry, current management practices, and nutritional guidelines. - There is a requirement of excellent verbal and written communication skills, focus, along with strong organization and time management skills. - Success in this position requires cold calling, high internal drive, a natural ability for relationship building, public speaking aptitude, and leadership in a team environment.
