Objective:
|
Hidden Rock Large Animal Service is an ambulatory practice based in Redlands, CA. We currently serve the hobby farm and homestead community of southern California’s Inland Empire along with many “pet livestock” owners. We also offer basic wellness and euthanasia services for companion animals and horses. Our clients are appreciative of our time and expertise and value our services appropriately. After hours emergency calls are extremely limited and our doctor does not go out in the middle of the night for emergencies. Period. We are the only ambulatory large animal practice within a one-hour radius of Redlands and the practice has grown steadily every year since it’s beginnings in 2017. It has been run as a three day/week endeavour for the past year to allow our doctor to fill in at a local small animal clinic but has the case load to expand to 4-5 days a week easily if desired. The California Animal Health and Food Safety laboratory (CAHFS lab) is located in San Bernardino for easy access to submit specimens. We also utilize Antech for laboratory services. In 2018 and 2019, we served as the supervising veterinary practice for the month-long Los Angeles County Fair where we monitor the health of animals in educational exhibits, provide public education opportunities and manage lambing, kidding, and calving pens. There are no shows or exhibitions at this fair. We also have an excellent relationship with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences and California State Polytechnic University in Pomona where our veterinarian has taught classes and hosted clinical year veterinary students. Equipment includes Ibex Pro ultrasound, x-ray generator with CR unit, MyPetLaser therapeutic laser, full pharmacy, and fully loaded custom SUV vet box. Our doctor has been offered a post-doctoral PhD program out of state and the previous sale fell through. Buy out preferred, partnership would be considered. We can assist with finding housing for out-of-towners if desired. |

Public education, animal husbandry basics for clients who have no previous livestock experience but a strong desire to learn. Clientele is very teach-able and willing to pay appropriately for the extra care that they require. |

The Inland Empire of Southern California sits at the base of the San Bernardino mountains with easy access to fantastic hiking, camping, and ocean activities only 1-2 hours away. The area is quite different from the stereotypical "Los Angeles" perception and the practice has been managed by a native Upstate New Yorker who has been very happy in the community here. |
