AABP Membership Information

Membership in the American Association of Bovine Practitioners is limited to veterinarians and veterinary students.

Membership Benefits Include

  • Monthly Newsletter e-mailed directly to you or mailed for an additional cost
  • Electronic access to AABP publications: Monthly Newsletter, The Bovine Practitioner and Conference Proceedings or printed copies for an additional cost
  • Access to AABP-L, the AABP's e-mail listserve

  • Access to guidelines and position statements created by AABP on relevant issues affecting food animal practice
  • Reduced registration fees at the Annual Conference

Active Members

Active members shall be veterinarians engaged in the general field of bovine medicine or those interested in bovine medicine. Active members shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the association. Membership dues are $150 US yearly due in conjunction with the commencement of the fiscal and membership year on July 1. If you would like to join the AABP, Click Here.

Honor Roll Members

Honor Roll members are those active members who are a minimum of 70 years old and have maintained active AABP membership for 25 or more years. Upon approval by the board Honor Roll members are excused from paying dues and conference registration fees and enjoy all rights and priviliges of active members.


Honorary Members

Honorary members shall be those persons who have made noteworthy and outstanding contributions to bovine practice. Unanimous approval by the AABP Board is required for this category. Honorary members who are AABP members have all the rights of an active member but are excused from paying dues or conference registration fees. Honorary members who were not AABP members prior to being awarded honorary membership are excused from paying dues or conference registration fees, but shall not vote or hold office.

Student Members

Student members shall be veterinary students at AVMA-accredited colleges of veterinary medicine. Students may form affiliated student chapters. Dues for student members are $20 US per year.
