"Simmental Country" Bernie Brown Print

Description: Bernie Brown’s "Simmental Country” is a limited-edition print, originally drawn in pencil and accented with watercolor. Item measures 14x21 and comes matted and framed in two-tone grey, valued at $160. Image depicts Big Chief mountain in the background which is a famous landmark on the prairies as it is visible far out onto the plains of Alberta and Montana, often photographed from the Alberta side of the international border. Bernie is a self-taught pencil artist who lives near Okotoks, Alberta. He takes great pride in his prairie heritage and strives to accurately depict scenes that portray our western culture through ranch, rodeo, farm and prairie scenes. His originals have shown at the Calgary Stampede Western Art Show with his prints on display in many galleries across Western Canada. Bernie’s work has won numerous national and international print awards as well as "Best of Show" at the Calgary Stampede in 1996.
