Conference Objective This conference is a follow up from the 2nd Discover Conference entitled “Transition Cows” held in 1999 that focused on the high visibility of the topic of the transition period. Ten years later, the topic is still of major importance to dairy farmers and their advisors. This conference will explore the new management strategies that have been proposed, and discuss what has subsequently been learned about the biology of the cow during this critically important time.
