Both facilities are dynamic teaching labs for veterinary students to learn husbandry, production management, and routine procedures used in livestock production. Animals housed within this program are also used for agricultural research. The equine unit was built 2 years ago, the beef facilities were built 1 year ago, and a new parlor and freestall barn will open for the dairy cows this fall.
