Objective:
|
Large or mixed animal veterinarians. If mixed position, we can be very flexible on desired amount of time split between large and small. One in 3 on-call currently, would like to increase the vet staff to a point where call is one in five (no mixed call, have a large animal and a small animal call vet each night). We are hoping to find long-term veterinarians to join our team and help us provide our growing clientele with the best customer service. Practice ownership is certainly possible in the future. The current owners purchased the practice in 2013 and would like to staff it well enough to provide a 40hr week to themselves and their associates. |

$80,000 - $110,000 (negotiable based on experience, base salary + production bonus optional) |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Modern and well kept indoor facilities where most of the individual animal medicine occurs. Calving chute, tip table, squeeze chute, surgery chute, and equine stocks. Clinic vehicle will be supplied if requested (each associate gets their own), 6 pulsator electroejaculators, 5 bovine ultrasounds, and all of the other well-maintained equipment required to perform large animal medicine |

Currently, 2.5 FTE large animal vets, 2.5 FTE mixed animal vets, and 1.8 FTE small animal vets.
Small animal: 2 receptionist, 1 inventory, 3 techs, and 3 tech assistants
Large animal: 2 techs, 1 receptionist, 1 accounting, 1 barn help

| Practice Area: |
South western Saskatchewan contains a mix of grain land and grass land. The area has rolling hills filled with wildlife and Swift Current is located 40 miles from 3 lakes. The winters aren't as extreme as other areas in Canada due to the chinooks coming off of the Rocky Mountains 350 miles to the west. Cypress Hills interprovincial park and Grasslands National Park are both approximately 90 miles from Swift Current and provide beautiful venues to camp and explore. |
