Objective:
|
Looking to add 1 or 2 associate veterinarians to a 5 doctor mixed animal practice. This would be 1 associated interested in practicing mixed animal (small animal and food animal) with time divided equally. OR 1 full-time small animal associate AND 1 full-time food animal associate. |

Training Required:

DVM, Texas License, Category II Accreditation. |

Our hospital has 4 small animal exam rooms, 2 small animal treatment areas, in-house Chemistry and CBC analyzers, digital radiology, ultrasound. Large animal has 2 treatment chutes, calf isolation ward, 14 stall barn. Large animal associate will be provided with a fully equipped truck. |

Small animal team includes 1.5 veterinary associates, 1 licensed veterinary technician, 5 veterinary technical assistants 1 inventory manager, 2 kennel assistants, 1 groomer. Large animal team currently includes 2 veterinary associates, 1 veterinary owner, and 4 veterinary technical assistants. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
|
Small animal preventive medicine, routine surgical procedures, soft tissue and orthopedic corrective surgical procedures, dental/oral health. Large animal strengths include dairy herd health, dairy and beef heifer replacement wellness, beef herd health, bull reproductive soundness evaluation, small ruminant wellness, food animal obstetrics, food animal surgery. Our practice is somewhat unique. The current large animal doctors spend mornings at dairies performing routine herd health and afternoons at the clinic. The clinic haul-in percentage is mainly beef, with some dairy calf vaccinating. The new associate is not expected to take on new dairy clients, but will be expected to gain proficiency in palpating to assist with dairy herd health when necessary. |

The practice is located in Stephenville, TX which is located approximately 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth. Stephenville is the county seat of Erath County. We sit in the middle of the area in Texas known as "The Prairies and Lakes Region". It contains rolling hills, native and improved grasslands, and abundant trees. Stephenville is the home of Tarleton State University (member of the Texas A&M University system). |
