Objective:
|
The Gregory Animal Clinic has an opening for mixed animal associate veterinarian. |
|
Training Required:
|
Successful applicants will be required to have a DVM or equivalent degree, SD and NE state license, and level 2 federal accreditation.
|

Experience Desired:
|
Experience is desirable but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply and we can assure that they will receive the mentoring necessary to help them grow in their profession. |

Salary is negotiable and depends on experience. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

The facility has recently been remodeled and expanded and now includes a SA surgery, 2 exam rooms, kennel room, isolation room, and treatment area. The clinic has a dedicated area for bovine obstetrics, neonatal calf hospitalization room, covered corral space and alley for cattle processing. Hydraulic chute including tilt are used both in clinic and portable. |

The clinic is currently staffed by two DVM, 3 veterinary technicians, 2 lay assistants, and 2 office personnel. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
|
Companion animal services include digital radiography, dental radiography and scaler polisher, Abaxis lab analyzers, and ultrasound.
Large animal equipment includes arms free ultrasounds and Lane semen testing units. Our LA is predominantly cow/calf with some smaller feedlots and backgrounding operations. There has been significant growth in the small ruminant numbers. The practice also serves a livestock auction.

Gregory is a community of 1200 people in south central South Dakota.
Outdoor activities are abundant with both large and small game hunting opportunities and some of the best walleye fishing found anywhere. The community has an excellent school system and a large number of professionals. A new hospital and clinic are staffed by four MD's and four PA/NP. The business district has a variety of retail stores and excellent dining options.
