The Abbotsford Veterinary Clinic is now hiring! An established, thriving, innovative food animal practice located in the heart of British Columbia's lower mainland. Looking for a full-time large animal practitioner to join our progressive dairy practice team. Emphasis placed on preventative and curative dairy herd medicine and surgery with FAST TRACK option for advanced bovine repro (ET, IVF) and client education. Providing excellent herd health work with value-added, our clinic also offers complete bovine IVF services across W. Canada using our own certified lab in embryo culture work. |

Training Required:

DVM and ability to be licensed in British Columbia, Canada (NAVLE + BC bylaws exam that can be set up on arrival) |

Experience Desired:

Experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates welcome! |

Vehicle with all the necessary equipment, ultrasound, etc. Office space, in house ET and IVF lab, provincial diagnostic lab located 5 mins away. |

We are a team of 7 food animal veterinarians, one poultry PhD, an office manager, full staff Client Care team, two members of our embryo marketing team and three embryologists working in our advanced bovine reproduction lab. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

Client education including but not limited to animal handling and calf health programs (+ calf lung ultrasounds) with cow comfort consultation and employee training. Preventative and curative complete herd health and poultry health services with value added production data analysis and R&D projects support. Our advanced bovine reproduction ET and IVF lab with full veterinary and tech support enhances our domestic and international embryo transfer services. We are community focused, involved with 4H and actively involved in WCABP/CABV supporting our future farmers and colleagues. |

Most of our farms are located within a 30 minute drive from clinic with opportunity up-country for more beef and dairy work.
We are only an hour drive from the Pacific Ocean, 2 hour drive from Whistler, and 5 minutes from the US border with endless outdoor activities all around us.
