Antique Dazey Butter Churn
Description: Description: One-quart round label antique Dazey Butter churn. Last appraised in 2016 at $2,400. From the estate of Eleanor R. Shaver, an avid butter churn collector and farm wife. Estimated to be from prior to 1922. In the early years of the 20th century, E.B. Jones developed a small glass churn for home use. Nathan Dazey purchased Jones' business and relocated it in St. Louis, Missouri as the Dazey Churn & Manufacturing Co. Dazey churns were made up until about 1945. Original quart churns in excellent condition sell for over $2,000.
