Objective:
|
Prairie Valley Veterinary Clinic is a two doctor practice that is looking to hire an associate veterinarian with interest in purchase as the current owner is wanting to phase toward retirement. |
|
Training Required:
|
D.V.M. degree with Kansas license and federal accreditation or the ability to attain both. |
|
Experience Desired:
|
Experience preferred but not required. Would like to hire a mature individual with interests in food animal and companion animal practice. |

Salary:

Negotiable as per experience. |

Very nice building built in 1995 with haul in facility and room for expansion. Also includes boarding kennels.
Practice includes new portable radiograph machine, dental unit, gas anesthesia, Abaxis CBC/Chemistry, CR developer, laser therapy, Aloka ultrasound, Reproscan ultrasound, EKG, surgery monitors, etc. |

One Veterinarian, three licensed technicians (one primarily does grooming), receptionist and several kennel/cleaning positions. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

Prairie Valley Veterinary Clinic has been operating over 50 years. The practice is a little over 1/2 bovine, the large majority of that being cow/calf. Typical herds in the area are 75 to 250 cows with a few larger and some smaller herds. There are also some stockers, a little dairy, equine and small ruminant.
There is a solid small animal clientele to serve with medicine and surgery. The practice is well equipped to serve both. |

Practice is located in the scenic northern edge of the Flint Hills between two communities. Manhattan is 45 minutes south, Lincoln,NE is 90 minutes north. The area has a diversified economy with a lot of manufacturing for a rural area and is served by very good schools. |
