Topic: Veterinary Medicine in East Africa. Troy Sammons, a 2005 UC Davis graduate, was in dairy practice in Central Valley until 2009 when he and his family moved to Kenya to serve with CVM. Troy has traveled throughout Kenya working with Kenyan veterinarians delivering veterinary service to a rural population and providing training and encouragement to families living in the local dump around the town where he lives. The Sammons family are in the process of moving to South Sudan to work and minister to cattle herders in that region. For more information visit:

The job fair will be an opportunity for employers to meet with large numbers of veterinary students interested in food animal/mixed animal positions in private practice, industry, government and academia.

Stampede 5K Fun Run
If you thought last year’s AABP Stampede 5K was fun, you’ll love this year’s event! The race is set for Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Charlotte, Saturday, Sept. 17.
