Training Required:

Successful applicants will be required to have a DVM or equivalent degree, SD and NE state license, and level 2 federal accreditation.

The facility has recently been remodeled and expanded and now includes a SA surgery, 2 exam rooms, kennel room, isolation room, and treatment area. The clinic has a dedicated area for bovine obstetrics, covered corral space and alley for cattle processing. Hydraulic chute including tilt are used both in clinic and portable. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

Gregory Animal Clinic is a growing mixed animal practice with a diverse ad incredibly robust caseload. The practice consists of approximately 65% large animal and 35% small animal, with substantial growth the last several years in all species. The majority of our patients are cattle and companion animals, but we do not hesitate to see the occasional exotic pet and the equine and small ruminant sides of the practice are growing!
We offer complete beef cattle services including pregnancy diagnosis
(Reproscan units and Ibex EVOIII), semen testing (Lane Pulstor V units),herd health, and ambulatory services. In addition we service a local livestock auction barn which provides a steady flow of palpation and regulatory experiences. Cattle outnumber the population of the county by a ratio of 20:1, ensuring a resilient stream of livestock work.
Our recent addition and remodeled small animal facilities allow for extensive care of companion animals with routine and emergency surgeries, ultrasound, cold laser, gas anesthesia, digital and dental x-ray, dental scaling and polishing, complete in-house hematology and chemistry, as well as isolation and hospitalization accomodations.
In addition we regularly have a traveling surgeon provide in-house specialized and orthopedic surgeries.

Gregory is a growing community of 1300 people in south central South Dakota, located within 30 minutes of the Missouri River providing
abundant opportunities for fishing, hunting, and water sports. The Black Hills of South Dakota are less than 4 hours away with all the recreational opportunities they provide and the best skiing east of the Rockies. The community has an excellent school system and a large number of professionals. A new hospital and clinic are staffed by three MD's and four PA/NP. The business district has a variety of retail stores and excellent dining options.
