Objective:
|
We are accepting applications for an associate position for a Mixed Animal Veterinarian. This position will be primarily focused on the Dairy aspect of our practice. The position coming available is a full-time mixed animal doctor (70% food animal/30% companion animal). This position is coming available due to a veterinarian leaving to join Penn State Extension. The new associate will be the fourth Mixed Animal veterinarian. The Dairy aspect of our practice includes routine herd checks, in-house mastitis lab, Dairy Profit Team consultation, DHIA record evaluation, on farm surgeries, nutritional consultation and emergency work. If desired, the new associate with have access to an ultrasound for reproductive work.

Training Required:

Both recent (and upcoming) graduates and experienced veterinarians will be considered. DVM, VMD, or Equivalent. Eligible for Level II Federal Accreditation. Must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Our new hire will be provided a practice vehicle (Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a Bowie unit) with all the necessary equipment necessary to perform all the duties necessary of a dairy/food animal veterinarian. This will include an ultrasound machine for reproductive work.
For companion animal work, we are preparing to move into a new state of the art facility and will be adding a companion animal veterinarian in July. The practice currently employs 35 people and we are looking to expand this aspect of our practice. |
