Objective:
 Want to work in a mixed animal practice? Tired of the hassles of making decisions in a multidoctor practice? Want to work outside the corporate structure? Want to own your own practice? Want to take care of a community? Hilmar Animal Hospital is looking for an associate veterinarian with a dedicated interest in small animal and dairy to join a family oriented mixed animal practice. Schedule is a busy 80-85% small animal, 15% dairy herd health with a smattering of goats, sheep and pigs. There is an opportunity for dairy herd health with a clientele of 500-1000 plus cow herds. Small animal practice is growing and pulling from the surrounding towns. We have a busy surgery schedule including many spays, neuters, general surgery, dentistry and light orthopedics. Facilities include in-house chemistry, digital X-ray, portable ultrasound, electro-surgery and dentistry. Position can be full or part time. This is an opportunity for either a seasoned vet or a new graduate. This can be a long term opportunity for the right person. Training Required:
 DVM and California license required. Qualified applicants who are ready to take CA boards will be considered. 
Experience Desired:
  A desire to do both small animal and dairy practice is important. 
Salary:
 $120K , negotiable based on experience and abilities

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
 Hilmar Animal is a 3200 square foot small animal clinic. Digital Xray, ultrasound, in housechemistry, QBC, anesthesia monitor w/ pulse ox and EKG, isoflurane anesthesia, ultrasonic dental scaler/polisher, vet truck and Bowie vet pack provided.  
Other Personnel :  1 Veterinarian with a Masters in Preventive Medicine, 5 full or part time technicians, groomer and local relief veterinarian. 
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
 Hilmar Animal Hospital is a true mixed practice. We are a growing, independent 1-doctor practice with a history of a multidoctor practice grossing 900K/year. We are a small town family oriented small animal practice drawing from multiple communities. We practice quality medicine, surgery, dentistry and client care. The dairy practice has a true herd health approach by an MPVM in the heart of the California central valley dairy industry. Areas of focus are reproduction, obstetrics, surgery, records analysis, and nutritional and mastitis consultation. There are opportunities for food animal and equine practice growth. 
Practice Area:  Hilmar is nestled on the Merced River, which flows out of Yosemite Valley in the agriculture rich Central Valley and centrally located 1-1/2 to 2 hours from San Francisco/Oakland, Sacramento, Monterey, Napa, Yosemite and Fresno. Lake Tahoe is slightly further. Hilmar is a growing agricultural town located in the second largest milkshed in California and enjoys a delta climate. Hilmar boasts the largest cheese plant in the world yet maintains a small town atmosphere of 6000 people and an excellent school system with larger cities only 5 to 30 miles away. Educational opportunities include UC Merced, Cal State University Stanislaus, Modesto Junior College and Merced College all within 25 miles.
