Central Ontario Veterinary Services is seeking an experienced Large Animal Veterinarian for a full-time or part-time position to cover a one year maternity leave starting in April 2025. We are a growing,
progressive, and client-focused mobile veterinary practice, proudly serving Simcoe County and beyond from our office in Barrie, Ontario. Our team is committed to providing high-quality care to both equine
and food animal clients, and we are looking for a dedicated veterinarian to join our team.
Training Required:
DVM, licensed by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario. We can help facilitate the CVO licensing
Experience Desired:
Experience preferred but not necessary.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
We are well-equipped with digital radiographs, ultrasounds, a 3-meter endoscope, and in-house lab capabilities. You will also be provided with a fully stocked mobile unit to serve our clients in the field. On-call responsibilities are shared evenly between all full-time veterinarians.
Other Personnel :
Our current team includes three full-time veterinarians, two registered veterinary technicians, and a dedicated CSR, all working together to provide exceptional care.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
Our practice serves a diverse client base, with roughly two-thirds of our clients being equine, primarily pleasure and low-level performance horses. The remainder of our clients are food animal producers, ranging from dairy herds to hobby farms. As part of our team, you will have the
opportunity to work with a variety of animals in a collaborative environment.
Practice Area:
Simcoe County and Muskoka District are beautiful parts of Central Ontario 1-2 hours from the big city of Toronto. The area is full of lakes, forests, ski hills, and other picturesque scenery.
