Objective:
|
The South Winn Veterinary Clinic, a four-veterinarian practice, is seeking a large animal veterinarian and/or a mixed animal veterinarian. This high-volume private practice is 40% dairy, 30% cow/calf, 25% feedlot, 5% swine. Located in the bucolic driftless region of Northeast Iowa near Decorah, IA in Ossian. The practice is a “Practitioner's” practice. It is both mentally and physically challenging as you will be an active participant in the day to day and long-term decisions of our varied clientele. |

The practice encourages new grads and experienced veterinarians to explore this exciting practice opportunity. Partnership is available and encouraged in as short as 1 to 2 years. There is opportunity to expand and would be open to mixed animal practice if the incoming veterinarian(s) would like to pursue it. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

Each veterinarian has their own truck, vet box and Easi-Scan ultrasound. Our large animal practice is predominately mobile with the exception of hospitalized baby calves that are housed at the clinic. Our clinic is equipped with IDEXX blood machines, in-house milk culture, 2 Foremost portable chutes, 1 Arrow portable tub chute, BSE equipment, ATP meter, washer and dryer for coveralls, and a heated 2 door garage area for stocking trucks. |

3 office personnel that coordinate our scheduling, client communications and inventory and one veterinary technician available for both small and large animal assistance. Four veterinarians that share on call equally. |

As you work with small 10 cow backyard beef farms to 400 cow/calf operators, 100 to 2000 head feedlots, and ever expanding 150 to 2000 cow dairies, the “rut” will be far from your thoughts. Flexible on where you want to live within the practice area. Strong agricultural community, low cost of living area with Rochester, MN and LaCrosse, WI an hour and a half away. |
