Grande is looking for a Large Animal Veterinarian with strong professional interest in milk quality production practices to work directly with our dedicated Grande Producer Dairies. In this role, you will consult directly with dedicated Grande dairy producers in the areas of milk quality, productivity, and animal well-being. We assist our Producer Dairies in their efforts to achieve their business goals of producing high-quality milk, providing excellent animal care, and exceeding dairy regulatory requirements. While serving as an important milk quality and animal care consulting resource you will be stretched to grow and develop your dairy production medicine skills. Training Required:
DVM degree, minimum 2 years veterinary practice experience, eligibility for Wisconsin Veterinary license, eligibility certification as a FARM Animal Care Evaluator
Experience Desired:
Familiarity with milking equipment function/performance testing, and solid understanding of mastitis control practices are key requirements. Must have interest in developing expertise in dairy animal care assessment programs such as the National Dairy FARM Program. Grande will provide training in delivering milk quality and animal wellbeing consulting services. Passion for understanding and modernizing Production Ag systems along with general knowledge of Life Cycle Assessments are key attributes for success in this role. Nice to have - Interest in the terminologies such as continuous improvement and waste reduction and how lean concepts can be applied in the dairy production system.

Highly competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus variable compensation reward.

This position creates a third DVM role within Grande, providing bench strength to deliver milk quality and cow comfort programs to Grande Producer Dairies. These DVM roles will directly support and deliver consulting services to Grande Producer Dairies. The DVM’s work in collaboration with four Associate roles that serve as Producer Service Representatives and who are the primary contact for Grande Producer Dairies. There is one bi-lingual training Associate role that is a resource available to all Grande Producer Dairies.
