Are you a Veterinarian with a passion for bovine medicine? Profectus Livestock Solutions is seeking a dedicated Large Animal Veterinarian to join our team in Southwest Minnesota. Our team values mentorship, innovation, and consultative medicine and we partner with farmers and ranchers across multiple states to optimize beef, swine and dairy animal health, welfare, and profitability through expert veterinary care, nutrition consulting, and top-tier health products. As a beef-focused veterinarian, you’ll provide consultative and hands-on care, from analyzing herd records and developing protocols to performing surgeries and diagnostics.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operation and pen walk-throughs to assess herd health, welfare, and facility conditions. By analyzing health records, you will identify trends and implement targeted solutions to improve outcomes. You’ll develop customized vaccine protocols for both high- and low-risk calves and create SOPs to ensure consistency in farm operations. Additionally, you will provide hands-on medical and surgical services, including rectal and uterine prolapse repairs, eye removal surgeries, lameness evaluations, and reproductive health assessments. Your expertise in diagnostics, necropsies, and treatment plans will be instrumental in supporting the success of our producers.
