Job Description:
 

Objective:
 Join the provisionally accredited Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine at Clemson University to develop a full curriculum and welcome the class of 2030 graduates in fall of 2026. The mission of the CVM is to promote animal and human health in the state of SC through the education of the next generation of veterinary clinicians and scientists without incurring significant student debt. A top priority will be to produce graduates who are highly skilled and dedicated to the underserved communities of SC with an emphasis on farm animal, general practice and population medicine. To this end, the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. CVM will also contribute to cutting-edge veterinary research and science, continuing education, disease control, animal agriculture and engagement of the citizens of SC. Apply here: https://apply.interfolio.com/178374 The clinical education will be accomplished as a partially distributed model, with a small animal community practice and large animal ambulatory practice. Utilization of local shelter and private practice partnerships, a rural services section, and the SC Veterinary Diagnostic Center will also add to the students clinical education. This position will: - Create and deliver the large animal medicine curriculum (equine, bovine, small ruminant, and pig individual animal medicine) in the team-taught systems-based courses in the curriculum - Develop assessment strategies in alignment with the overall competency-based curriculum (CBVE 2.0) - Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure integration of knowledge and skills across years and courses - Actively and effectively engage in student-centered instruction, coaching, and mentorship - Collaborate closely with the PCVM Large Animal Ambulatory practice - Serve on PCVM and campus committees as appointed or elected Additionally, the faculty member must have the ability to: - Emulate our PCVM cultural values including integrity, authenticity, respect, welcoming, trust and collaboration - Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail - Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and function independently with limited supervision and guidance - Work in partnership with faculty and staff across multiple disciplines and functions across the college and university - Participate in research and scholarship initiatives designed to improve educational and professional outcomes - Demonstrate a commitment to the core values of Clemson University and specifically to community, engagement, belonging and accessibility (CEBA) 
Training Required:
 - DVM, PhD or equivalent - Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACV Internal Medicine - LA, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, etc.) 
Experience Desired:
 3+ years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine or veterinary education 
Salary:
 Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
