Job Description:
 

Objective:
 Town & Country Animal Hospital is seeking a doctor with mixed animal interests to join our practice team. The clinical environment is highly cooperative with strong mentorship from senior doctors, technicians and staff. We are a truly mixed practice. Our overall caseload is 30% large animal and 70% small animal. Farm animal composition is 75% dairy (with herd sizes from 50 to 3000 cows), 15% beef, 5% small ruminant, and 5% swine/poultry/equine. In-clinic caseload is 70% canine, 25% feline, and 5% small ruminant/pet pigs/pocket pets/pet poultry. We value work-life balance, offering a 4-day work week, 30-minute clinic appointment slots, and no weekend office hours.  
Training Required:
 DVM/VMD or equivalent. Bovine palpation skills expected, with ultrasound (Ibex Pro) available and used regularly. 
Experience Desired:
 A team player with true interest in mixed animal medicine is desired. New graduates with the right skill set, and experienced doctors looking for a new home, are encouraged to apply. Salary:
 Salary commensurate with experience.

 Our schedule fosters work-life balance, with regular weekly days off & paid vacation days. Stipends are provided for Professional Dues, Licensing, Liability Insurance, and CE (time & expense). Emergency coverage (farm animal only, as we utilize 2 nearby emergency clinics for after-hours small animal emergencies) is shared with 2 other doctors.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
 A fully stocked Toyota Tacoma truck with Porta-Vet unit is provided for ambulatory work. We have a heated garage for farm truck storage and occasional case management. Our fully equipped small animal facility includes 4 exam rooms, x-ray, ultrasound, surgical suite (which is able to accommodate small ruminant and mini-pig patients), laboratory (full in-house bloodwork & culture lab), treatment area, and an isolation ward.  
Other Personnel :  5 doctors (3 full-time mixed, 2 part-time SA) + support staff (office finance manager, 6 technicians, 2 receptionists, and kennel attendants).
