Huntingdon Veterinary Service, the large animal practice, provides fully equipped trucks for farm calls. We share 2 portable ultrasounds. We use the small animal facilities for small ruminant and small pig patients. Laboratory equipment is shared between the small animal and large animal practices.
Spruce Street Animal Clinic, the small animal practice, has 3 exam rooms, two kennel areas for patients (no boarding), diagnostic equipment for blood chemistry and CBC, and incubator for milk, skin and ear cultures, a digital X-ray machine and an ultrasound. |

Dairy herd numbers range from 25-1500. We emphasize regular reproductive herd visits, nutrition, farm facility and ventilation management, calf care and milk quality. Ruminants and other large animals are a mix of commercial and backyard/hobby farmers.
Spruce Street Animal Clinic offers services primarily for cats and dogs. Regular surgeries would include spays, C sections and lumpectomies. Besides in house lab work and cytology, samples are sent out to a local pathologist as well as Idexx, Michigan State and Texas A&M.
Our veterinarians have expertise with ultrasonography for cattle and pets.
The entire team strives to provide a small town feel that is cheerful and professional. |
Practice Area: |
We are in rural Huntingdon County with close proximity to Lake Raystown and Juniata College. Juniata is a strong science college with great volleyball teams. We are 40 miles from Penn State. Our practice area has about a 30 mile radius. |
