Prairie Vista Veterinary Hospital is a three doctor, mixed animal practice located in Central Kansas. At Prairie Vista Veterinary Hospital, we regularly see large animal, small animal, and exotic patients. The large animal work consists of cow-calf operations, ranging from hobby farms to production, several dairies, and the local sale barn. We have a significant amount of equine general practice throughout the year with a large amount of reproduction work in the spring. Small animal is consistently busy with vaccinations, medical cases, and surgeries (elective, orthopedic and soft tissue). We provide the veterinary care for the local shelter, as well as providing services for the local pet stores, the zoo, and an exotic farm. We offer a huge variety of work and great mentorship at Prairie Vista Veterinary Hospital in South Hutchinson, Kansas.
We moved into our new clinic. Our new clinic will has 5 small animal exam rooms, treatment area with multiple wet tables, 2 surgery tables, many kennels for hospitalized patients, indoor cattle facilities with a hydraulic Silencer, and indoor equine facilities with stalls to keep large animals overnight. With this new space, we upgraded our technology and diagnostic machines as well. We have now have DR radiography, small animal diagnostic ultrasound, two large animal reproductive ultrasounds, Abaxis blood machines (CBC analyzer and 3 VS2 chem analyzers), a Zoetis Imagyst and a Bionote blood machine. We currently have large animal haul-in facilities with a hydraulic Silencer, and a second hydraulic Silencer at the sale barn for larger haul-in jobs. A new associate would be provided with a truck and vet box, along with many other benefits. On call responsibilities is split evenly between the doctors.
