Objective:
 The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery. If you have a passion for educating the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary specialists, providing exceptional patient care, love contributing to clinical research and want to work in a collegial and supportive environment, this is the position for you.  
Training Required:
 Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree, residency training in large animal internal medicine, large animal surgery, or food animal practice and certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM LAIM), American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) or American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). Candidates qualified to take the ACVIM, ACVS, or ABVP certification examination are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required. A graduate degree (MSc or PhD) is desirable.  
Experience Desired:
 . Interest and clinical experience in routine food animal theriogenology is desirable. Opportunity to participate in the food animal ambulatory service is available to interested candidates. Candidates certified by comparable EBVS recognized Colleges are encouraged to apply.

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:
 Well equipped hospital with multiple support services such as diagnostic imaging, anesthesia and on-site laboratory. Shared, well-equipped research lab space is also available within the teaching hospital building.  
Other Personnel :  We are in the process of building a separate after-hours large animal emergency service. This service currently has two faculty clinicians, one ACVIM LAIM board-certified and one ACVECC residency trained, with a third position posted and waiting to be filled.  
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
 The FA section is a well-equipped service and sees a robust food animal caseload which consists of beef cattle and small ruminants with smaller numbers of camelids, dairy cattle and swine. The OSU FA Clinic consistently ranks among the top for food animal caseload at veterinary schools. Approximately one half to two-thirds of the caseload consists of primary care cases drawn from a large geographic area with the balance consisting of referral cases. 
Practice Area:  Stillwater is a great college town with a small town atmosphere. Easy access to numerous OSU sporting events. Very strong public school system. Commercial airline service to Dallas. Stillwater is less than 1.5 hours from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
