Objective:
|
Position available for an exclusively bovine practitioner. Attica Veterinary Associates, due to continued expansion, wishes to add a sixth veterinarian to our existing group. Attica Veterinary Associates is a full service dairy practice located in Western New York offering traditional as well as consultative services to the dairy industry. |

Experience Desired:
|
Experience is not essential, but helpful. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and motivation are musts! New veterinarians receive orientation to the practice area and clients by riding along with each of the veterinarians. Training varies depending on the level of prior experience.
Mentoring of new associates is a big part of the on-boarding process. |

Although we are strictly an ambulatory practice, we have a roomy clinic that contains doctor’s offices, two laboratories, library/conference room, kitchenette, apartment for interns, as well as typical clinic areas. We also have a large heated garage which allows us to bring in multiple vehicles at a time. |

We have an excellent & experienced staff. We foster long-term relationships with our reception,2 full time LVT, book keeping and answering service personnel. We feel that this offers the best and most consistent service to our clients. |

Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:

We encourage the pursuit of specialty areas for all of our veterinarians to allow problem-solving in all major areas of dairy production medicine. These include, but are not limited to dairy nutrition, facilities & housing, milking quality & mastitis control, calf raising and reproductive services (Embryo Transfer). |

AVA is located in the scenic, rolling hills of Western New York. 30 minutes from either Rochester or Buffalo. Several large parks are nearby for those interested in skiing, hiking, or biking.
The herd size of our client base range from 50+ cow dairies to dairies milking over 2,000 cows with the average farm milking 300 to 600 cows.
