Objective:

AAHA accredited veterinary practice in eastern New Mexico seeks 1 - 2 associate DVMs: mixed animal, small and equine, small exclusive, or equine exclusive. Full-time or part-time. Yes, great work ethic is a must, but we are a family-oriented clinic. Time-off and work-life balance is important. We understand that. We can allow you the time off you want. NO AFTER-HOURS WORK REQUIRED, unless you just want to or want to earn extra income … For the small animal/equine, the mixed animal or equine veterinarian position, we seek one who is self-motivated and hard-working. We have a well-experienced barn staff in equine and food animal. Veterinary mentorship is available. The large animal portion of the clinic can provide services for any large animal: cow-calf, equine, sheep, goat, minimal swine, alpaca/llama, dairy herds, and FFA/4H show animals. From repro, to colics, to dystocias, you have the opportunity to do it all. We are searching for an all-around practitioner who enjoys staying busy but will be well-rewarded financially for his/her efforts and can take time off as he/she wants. |

We are a progressive well-equipped large and small animal hospital with caring, compassionate and experienced support staff. If you are or want to be small animal exclusive, we seek someone who works hard, collaboratively, with high quality medicine at his/her forefront and with good communication skills. If you are a new grad and just not quite yet confident in your skills, this is the perfect place to be! You can start out slow if you like, with easier appointments, such as vaccinations and annual physicals and then can gradually work up to some medicine and surgical cases. Or, if you are ready to dive into medicine or surgical cases, or both, you would have no problem getting started here at Clovis Veterinary Hospital. If one is a new grad, mentorship is really important for your first year out. We have well-experienced vets ready to help and mentor new veterinarians or cohesively work together and learn from others' experience and skills in practice. |

Our hospital has 2 small animal surgery suites, a dental suite, large animal padded surgery suite, small animal oxygen/ICU cage, small animal hyperbaric chamber, in-house pharmacy, laboratory, Coggins lab, 4 exam rooms, infectious disease isolation ward, separate canine and feline wards, hydraulic cattle chute, barn rubber floors, safe large equine exam stocks, large animal stalls indoor and outdoor, electric lift in large animal surgery suite and hydraulic table, and boarding facilities for both large and small animals. We have small and large animal digital radiography, ultrasound, small animal class 3 laser, and digital dental radiography. |

Clovis, NM is a nice-sized town of friendly people of such diversity. We have the good ol’ farming, ranching, and dairy agriculture as well as one of the only Special Ops Air Force bases in the United States. We have the young and the old, the single and the extended families. We really have a great cultural base of varying demographics. Clovis has plenty to do for most people right here, but two cities are nearby (1 ½ hrs driving time to Lubbock or Amarillo or 3 hrs driving time to Santa Fe or Albuquerque). The mountains are a short 2-3 hour drive, as are the horse races, and a nice boating and swimming lake is just an hour north of Clovis. Where Billy the Kid roamed, we have history and adventure, and the sunrises and sunsets are unbeatable! You’ll likely fall in love with this diamond in the rough you never knew was a dot on the map….like the owner of the clinic discovered! Our clinic is still personally run and has no corporate influence whatsoever, but we keep up with the latest in medicine and equipment. We even have regenerative medicine capabilities in-house, as well as arthroscopy! We aren’t afraid of advancement and embrace it with a family-friendly spin and a very low to no drama staff and doctors who collaborate every day on cases and then chat about other fun and funny things too!
