Objective:
|
Agwest Veterinary Group is currently looking for a veterinarian to join our practice. Agwest is an agricultural practice in British Columbia. Our central office is in Abbotsford, BC with a satellite practice in the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island. We are primarily a dairy practice but also work with beef, small ruminant, and equine farms. Our full-service practice consists of both on-farm, ambulatory work as well as a modern, haul-in facility. We provide comprehensive veterinary services including; Herd Health Management (Data/Records Analysis, Production/Milking System Evaluation, Udder Health Evaluation/Milk Lab, Cow Comfort/Lameness Evaluation, Young Stock/Replacement Management & Reproductive Management), Advanced Reproduction (Embryo Transfer & In Vitro Fertilization), Medicine & Surgery, and Farm Facility Evaluation. |

Financial salary compensation is competitive and based completely on skill rather than years of service. There is ample opportunity to earn your way up a generous pay scale.

Agwest is a located in the Fraser Valley and on Vancouver Island, BC. We have a modern, progressive office space that includes: dedicated office workspace for veterinarians, meeting rooms, a client presentation room, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, product distribution, staff kitchen/lunchroom, washrooms including shower, laundry. We have a haul-in facility on premise that is fully equipped for medical and surgical cases. Each veterinarian has a fully equipped ambulatory truck.

Agwest Veterinary Group’s practice is in the heart of the Fraser Valley and Cowichan Valley. Together, this agricultural area is only ~200,000 hectares but is some of the most highly productive farm land in Canada and is home to the most progressive dairy farms in the country and countless beef and small ruminant operations. The relatively small geographical area makes for a great working environment for a farm veterinarian.
The coastal location makes for favorable working conditions with a moderate climate – mild winters and comfortable summers.
Both Fraser Valley and Cowichan Valley locations are surrounded by ocean, coastal mountains, rivers and lakes. Opportunities for outdoor recreation are endless.
