Objective:
|
We are seeking an individual (DVM preferred) who has excelled in their career and are now looking to take a technical lead role in a dedicated team melding progressive clinical practice with innovative digital technologies.

Having recently updated our Back End data structure and tools, Parnell is now poised for another round of agile innovation in both clinical product development and digital medication management solutions. Our main application mySYNCH is updated nightly and includes more than 800,000 cows, 350 herds, and all major dairy regions in the US. As an experienced and educated individual well-grounded in day-to-day dairy operations and basic statistics, bring your skill set and join our team in thinking of new and innovative digital solutions to improve reproductive performance. Training Required:
|
• You will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in dairy clinical practice, and enjoy interacting with Veterinarians, Herd Owners, Managers, Breeders, Nutritionists and others involved in day-to-day dairy operations.
• You have a special interest in reproductive management, and your analytical personality drives your desire to use data to find and solve problems.
• Your vision and curious nature mean you want to find and adopt new technologies that will play a role in changing the industry.
• You are hard working with a can-do attitude; your high energy and drive means you are persistent and strive for excellence whilst inspiring others.
• You have excellent communications skills, written and oral; being fluent in Spanish is desirable but not essential.

Experience Desired:
|
1. On Farm Technical Services Support:
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice as a DVM or animal health consultant on a range of dairy operations.
• Strong understanding of Dairy farm management under different farming systems US-wide.
• Support the clinical development of Parnell's digital platform, mySYNCH. You will have a deep understanding of the prominent US Dairy Herd Management software systems.
• Comprehensive clinical knowledge of dairy cows. Detailed knowledge of dairy cattle health and reproductive program management is prerequisite.
• Solid understanding of clinical pharmacology as it relates to drug management on dairy farms.
2. Provide Internal Staff and External Customer Training:
• As Parnell's Dairy clinical lead, you will travel regularly to further educate, discover and apply our novel solutions to today's pressing dairying challenges.
• Being the digital product champion for the mySYNCH community you will advocate its adoption into general herd management and veterinary practices.
• You will attend industry congresses as required such as DCRC, AABP and ADSA.
• An important part of your role will be to develop and conduct staff training.
3. Thought Leader in the Scientific Community:
• Liaise with University personnel who may be interested in partnering on projects.
• Articulate industry relevant and practical questions that can be initially explored by evaluating the database to generate or refine a hypothesis.
• Utilize the database for exploration of clinical questions and development of novel dairy reproduction metrics and trends.
• Excellent study evaluation and publishing skills. Be fluent in peer review publication process.
• Strong understanding of applied statistics. Proficiency in one or more programing languages, such as R, Python or SQL, is a plus.

Salary Range - $110,000 - $120,000 |
