A practice vehicle and all veterinary equipment including ultrasound and smartphone are provided. We have an in-house microbiology lab for mastitis culturing.
Other Personnel :  We have a secretary/office manager, and a part-time technician.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business:
Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, this practice has been in existence since 1952 serving dairy farms in southern Lancaster County as well as parts of Chester and York counties in PA and a few farms in Maryland. The clientele is primarily Amish herds of 40-60 cows as well as non-Amish herds of 100-2000 cows. We are currently a four-doctor practice, with two doctors who started in 1989 and 1998, and two recent graduate doctors who started in 2024 and 2025. The new hire will have a period of riding along/mentorship to get acclimated to the practice. We believe in providing timely, quality, and up-to-date services for our clients, while maintaining a good work and life balance with the opportunity for professional development.
Practice Area:  We are in an area that is economically stable with one of the very lowest unemployment rates in Pennsylvania. This is a hub for healthcare, retirement communities, agribusiness, tourism, trucking, manufacturing, hospitality and food services and retailers with a wide variety of major national employers and smaller local companies. Downtown Philadelphia and Baltimore are within an easy 60-90- minute drive, while nearby Lancaster City also provides a lively arts, restaurant, and entertainment scene. Most of our work is within a 20-25mile radius of the practice center. There is a strong farmland preservation movement in the area, and the presence of the plain sect communities ensures agriculture will remain here for decades to come. Hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, climbing and other outdoor recreation is readily found nearby.
