Objective of Talk |
Treatment of mastitis is the most common reason that antibiotics are used on dairy farms and many non-severe clinical cases of mastitis do not require antibiotic therapy to achieve recovery. Mastitis is caused by a variety of bacterial pathogens and most are treated symptomatically by farm workers. During this session we will review current research about treatment of non-severe clinical mastitis with emphasis on practical steps to ensure that antibiotics are used responsibly and economically. |
