Job Description:

Objective:
|
Seeking an associate veterinarian to join our large animal exclusive practice. We are primarily dairy with some beef and small ruminant work mixed in. On-call responsibilities for established clients shared equally. |
|
Training Required:
|
Veterinary degree with a PA license and Category II USDA accreditation.
We expect development of professional skills during employment according to the interests of the associate. The position also offers opportunity to learn embryo transfer and IVF. |
|
Experience Desired:
|
New graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome to apply. Our practice has a written mentoring program with regular scheduled feedback. We are looking for people skills, communication, enthusiasm, and ambitious professional goals. |

Facilities provided by the veterinary practice:

We are almost exclusively ambulatory. Full size truck with vet box unit provided, along with all equipment to stock the truck. Ibex ultrasound. Clinic building offers some opportunity for haul-in work on small ruminants or young calves. |

Two full-time veterinarians complimented by one certified veterinary technician, two part-time assistants, a full-time receptionist, and a bookkeeper. |

White Oak Veterinary Clinic, PC was founded in 1973 and we are proud of our clinic. Dr. Bill Croushore works full-time at advanced reproductive technologies including embryo transfer and IVF. Dr. Dan Zawisza works at conventional clinical medicine with emphasis on herd health and interest in breeding soundness exams and records analysis. Both doctors have strong interest in mentoring and ensuring that our associates succeed. We place an emphasis on continuing education and regularly exceed licensing requirements. We also believe strongly in family time and are committed to not just hiring, but retaining, an associate. |

Located in Southwest Pennsylvania, our practice area radiates out about 40 miles from Berlin, the heart of the Whiskey Rebellion. It covers multiple ski resorts and state parks, as well as the Flight 93 National Memorial, Fallingwater, and offers excellent opportunities for hunting and fishing. We are about an hour from Pittsburgh and closer to other metropolitan areas like Johnstown, Greensburg, and Altoona. |
